ABOUT ME

As soon as our family got our first video camera I've made videos. At first they were Kummeli styled sketches but when we got older the genre transformed into action films. At that time NLEs weren't around so editing was linear.

Several years passed and I had other plans to become a bio-chemist or an IT-engineer - until I found, applied and graduated from film school in Karelia University of Applied Sciences. What started out as a hobby a long time ago was now my profession. Creating content and telling stories with digital media is my passion.

I've shot videos with various tools such as RED cameras, Phantom Miro, Sony's FS700 & FS7, ENG-style cameras, DSLRs, GoPros and even smartphones.

I use Adobe After Effects on a daily basis in which I create VFX, motion graphics and color grading. I also know my way around several NLEs like Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid and Final Cut Pro.

I've done TV-commercials, corporate videos, brand videos, music videos, product videos, short films, 2D-animation and training in video production.

Few years after buying my first DSLR I found the still-world of photography interesting. I started to gather knowledge from books and online courses. It took some time to practice the art of capturing a single frame that would convey emotion, as before I was used to having 25 frames in a second plus audio to tell stories.

Game development is in a huge booming phase at the moment and I've found Unreal Engine 4 to be a great tool for that. I know the basics of visual coding in blueprint and I try to study this field more whenever I can.

Never stop learning!
